POSITION OVERVIEW

Based at Gauteng - Longmeadow Site, we are currently seeking:

                        CREDIT CONTROLLER – (Longmeadow Site, South Africa)

Reporting directly to the Credit Controller Supervisor, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:

• Effective management, analysis and problem solving of the company’s outstanding debt and application of payments.
•  Managing the debt of the business and ensuring that the debtor days outstanding are in line with the company’s requirements

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions and customers
•    Resolve valid or authorised deductions by entering corrections to customer accounts
•    Ensure timely payments of debts
•    Respond to customer queries
•    Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time
• Ensure that the service offering provided satisfies customers
• Meet the cash & debtor days targets set by the company
• Ensure that all transactions are compliant with the company’s policies

• Adhere to and support the company’s vision, mission and values without compromise or exception

• Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management
• Undertake account reconciliations as required
• Send out customers statements timeously
• Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met by working overtime as and when required
• Release orders timeously to prevent any delays in deliveries
• Support the General Manager on releasing orders after hours
• Fully responsible of maintaining the branch Debtors Book
• Other duties as delegated from time to time by the National Credit Manager

PROFILE

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Business Administration, Finance or similar qualifications would be advantageous
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years as a Credit Controller in the FMCG industry, commercial experience is an advantage
• Languages: English is a prerequisite; bilingual preferred.
• Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) would be an advantage
• Dynamic and professional attitude with strong communication and telephone skills.
• Other expertise: Strong keyboard skills, business & result driven, team player, observant, excellent with numbers, very accurate, able to concentrate for long periods of time.
