To build our team we are looking for a Senior Key Account Manager – Industry to join our Sales Team reporting to the Sales Director.
Your Mission
The Senior Key Acount Manager has a double mission:
- To develop, lead & execute the Industry strategy
- To develop profitable sales & create strong long term customer partnerships in line with the Puratos UK business strategy
What you will do
- Leadership
- Project leadership for critical business activities (NPD, EPD) directing relevant R&D colleagues plus support the Sales Director with wider team including Customer Services
- Monitor results on a monthly basis and implement corrective action to ensure achievement of budgeted targets.
- Member of the Puratos U-team
- Ad hoc project leadership as needed to achieve our strategic priorities
- Commercial Management
- Accountability for delivering budgeted sales in volume, turnover, gross margin £ and %
- Develop & execute clear strategy for the industrial channel ensuring full stakeholder alignment with the UK team, Business Units & Channels team
- Develop senior level relationships with key customer & industry bodies
- Integrate the relevant Customer Service team members into the commercial function ensuring both strong relationships with the operations function and putting the customer at the centre of all of our activities
- Lead team & manage critical projects in order to ensure the business (NPD, EPD) is well managed
- Strong collaboration with the Business Units to ensure alignment with key products & category priorities
- Strong collaboration with the Channels Division to ensure alignment with Global Account priorities
- Embrace digital tools including CRM, BI platforms to enable transparency and measurement of KPIs (product launches, events etc)
What we expect from you
- High level of communication skills in all forms (developing and giving presentations, written and verbal comms, listening)
- Proven experience of team & people management driven by high standards and strong ethics
- Proven track record of sales within food business (experience of retail and or large account management)
- First-rate negotiation skills & proven commercial acumen
- Ability to network at board level both internally & externally
- Cultural fit with our established local behaviours and ability to adapt within our European HQ environment
- An interest in food and demonstrable commitment to social responsibility
- Comfortable and proactive use of digital tools including CRM and strong social media presence particularly Linked In
