Financial Controller

(Tunari, Romania)

 

 

We are seeking a Financial Controller to ensure robust financial oversight of company profitability. This role involves proactive cost monitoring, entire performance analysis and aligning financial outcomes with operational activities. You will support strategic decision-making processes and contribute to maintaining the financial health and sustainability of the business.

 

 

What you will do

 

  • Monitor and control operational expenses
  • Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for both local and group management
  • Define and update financial control keys (KPIs, cost rules)
  • Align financial results with operational performance
  • Conduct profitability analysis by accounts, products, and clients
  • Support decision-making with financial insights
  • Identify opportunities for costs optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Production, Marketing, R&D and Sales
  • Participate actively in budgeting and rolling forecast processes
  • Ensure compliance with group reporting deadlines

 

What we expect from you

 

Education

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Polytechnic (minimum BSc)

 

Experience

  • 2–5 years of financial experience, ideally in controlling or financial services
  • Experience in a multinational, matrix organization is a plus
  • Exposure to project management and performance-driven initiatives

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and adaptable in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills – able to write and present clearly and effectively
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and supporting decision-making

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel (medium/advanced level)
  • SAP knowledge is a strong plus
  • Ability to work with additional financial tools and systems related to SAP (PBI, IBP, QlikView)

 

Languages

  • Conversational English (minimum B2 level)

 

 

What you can expect from Puratos

 

Work Schedule

  • 8:00 – 16:00 or 9:00 – 17:00
  • Includes a 30-minute lunch break within the 8-hour workday
  • Hybrid work model: 2 days/week at the office
  • Company-provided transport from Obor and Pipera metro stations
