Supply Planning Manager

  1.     MISSION:

Reporting to the US Supply Chain Director, the Supply Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the inventory and production capacity for all Strategic Business Units (SBU) within Puratos USA. Ultimately, this individual is responsible for ensuring the appropriate capacity and inventory is in place to support the commercial, service level, and inventory objectives, which benefit the company’s overall objectives, while maintaining an appropriate capital cost structure.

 

 

  1.      KEY TASKS

 

  1. Develop production planning vision and doctrine; provide leadership to the extended supply chain planning team throughout Puratos USA.
  2. Lead the consolidation of replenishment requirements and the development of the master production schedule, in partnership with production site planning teams. 
  3. Actively manage a weekly update to the replenishment plan, ensuring effective communication and integration into the master production schedule.
  4. Manage the inventory days of supply and service level agreements throughout the US distribution network.
  5. Drive optimization of product flows, stocking decisions, and fulfilment.
  6. Work with warehouses and customer service to ensure effective inventory management and on time in full (OTIF) service levels.
  7. Own the development of plans and schedules to support major lifecycle and commercialization activities, including support of new launches, transitions, promotions or other events.
  8. Develop inventory pre-build plans for scheduled line shutdowns due to maintenance or capital projects.
  9. Actively participate in preparing the supply component for assigned products to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.  Identify projected resource constraints and volume impacts to the plan with proposed actions to remediate.
  10. Lead a rough cut capacity (RCC) analysis annually that highlights long-term capacity constraints and triggers capital investment in capacity.

 Success will be measured by key service and efficiency KPIs: service levels, NOTIF, inventory volume vs. target.    

 

  1.       EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain/Materials/Logistics management or business-related field.  MBA preferred.
  2. 5 years of supply chain experience, specifically in supply planning.  Demand planning or manufacturing experience a plus. 
  3. Proficient in spreadsheet, database and presentation including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of MRP. SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) or APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) experience.
  5. Exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
  6. Proven team player, able to work collaboratively at all levels and builds partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  7. Excellent organizational, planning, influence, presentation and follow-up skills.
  8. Self-motivated and must be persuasive in presenting ideas and managing their implementation.
  9. APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or other production and inventory management certification preferred.
