Quality & Environment Specialist

Your mission

  • Be an active member of the Food Safety Management team in the St Vith’s plant.
  • Support the effective implementation and maintain the structured Quality Management System based on the Puratos Q-Standards and Policies (5S, GMP & Pre-requisites, Process Control, Food Safety HACCP, BRC, Puratos guidelines), Codex Alimentarius and relevant Norms (GFSI norms, CRC, Halal, Kosher, Organic,…).
  • Be an active member of the Continuous Improvement  (for manufactured process and key business process)  in order to reduce the inefficiencies and cost of non-Quality.
  • Contribute actively to the compliance of the site with the relevant environmental regulations by taking appropriate actions.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • You retain, daily coach and empower the different teams and departments to excel in Quality and Environment.
  • You contribute to the optimization of site’s operational and QA/Environment procedures.
  • QA : you are an excellent intern auditor & are un charge of the complaint management (quality & environement), of the pest control on the site & of the quality management system of the supplier
  • You are in charge of all the tasks relative the ERP’s software.
  • You are involved in any changes or creations of raw material (including chemical products and packaging), semi-finished or finished products. 
  • You are the driving force in the introduction, the follow up, the closing and verification of CAPA & RCA (5 why/Ishikawa/DMAIC/FMEA).
  • You are the local single point for any questions relative to the food, feed, packaging and environmental regulations.
  • You are in charge of all relevant environment controls that must be operated on the field &  organize the control relative to waste management on the site.
  • You are highly getting involved in the environmental legal compliance of the site by conducting any relevant actions on the field.
  • You are the back-up of the QC operator

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum Bachelor degree with a first experience in the food sector or Master Degree (Food, Chemical, Bio-Engineer)
  • A first experience in the food sector is an asset
  • You are fluent in French & English. German is an asset.
  • Good pedagogic skills & effective communication 
  • Result oriented (continuous improvement) and stress resistant
  • Customer oriented & team player
