The Junior Technical Advisor focuses on working with the Technical Advisor team to inspire and delight customers in Puratos Innovation Centers through the creation of finished goods.
Primary Responsibilities
- Creates finished goods for customer visits focusing on breakfast, lunch and snack items.
- Understands trends and fits these items into the appropriate trends with a focus on health and well-being
- Assist more senior technical advisors in the creation of products for customer sampling and demonstration
- Partner with the marketing department to follow trends and create inspirational finished goods for customer material; Including and not limited to:
- Photoshoots for brochures/Newsletters
- Webinars
- Social Media Posts
- Internal and External facing videos
- Ensure optimal performance of the Innovation Center
- Uphold the 5S system
- Always act with a safety-first mindset
- Follow all GMP policies
- Food Safety
- comply with our food safety procedures upon new raw material selection, product development or modification and sample preparation.
- report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and / or head of Quality.
- Lead by example of how a technical advisor works with customers
- “If it has to be it starts with me.”
- Manage accurately all technical administration
- Keep all projects accurate and up to date in CRM
- Utilize appropriate systems for the management of technical projects
- Responsible for any other assignment given by direct supervisor
- Open to growth opportunities within the organization
Requirements:
- Ability to travel: 40% of domestic travel is required,
- Normal hazards and conditions consistent with such travel. Working occasional weekends and some occasional early/late workdays may be required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Baking and Pastry or a related field of study
- 0-2 years related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
