Position Overview:

The Regional ICT Infrastructure Specialist will collaborate with both the regional and HQ ICT Infrastructure teams as well as the country management teams in the region to ensure group standards are implemented and maintained while ensuring the highest levels of business continuity and productivity. The Regional ICT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the general ICT wellbeing and business continuity for the sites in the region.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Operational tasks:

    • Above all else ensure business continuity
    • Ensure a secured environment is maintained for all sites within the region
    • Be the first point of contact for the country management teams offering support and training for local and group ICT solutions
    • Respond to performance or wide area network connectivity issues in the region, coordinate with carriers, service providers, and HQ and local teams to resolve issues.
    • Lead daily team meetings with local ICT co-workers reviewing tickets and providing technical guidance if required to ensure SLAs are met
    • Manage hardware and software upgrade projects
    • Manage Access Control system ensuring security integrity meeting auditing standards
    • Update switchport VLAN assignments and descriptions on network switches
    • Coordinate and supervise the regional Active Directory and other security systems
    • Work with end users to identify issues and deliver required PC service levels and standards.
    • Provide training and support to end-users and staff on computer operation and other IT-related issues.
    • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
    • Install servers, computers and printers and other IT equipment 

 

Documentation:

    • Document new and existing systems and develop procedures for local, regional and HQ teams.

 

Projects:

The Local ICT Infrastructure Support Specialist is involved in or can lead local projects such as:

    • Migration of local acquisitions or takeovers to the global Puratos network
    • Management and coordination of local moves and office/factory extensions
    • Be involved or lead local general ICT projects

 

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge/Experience of the following technologies are required or would be considered an asset:
    • VMWare ESX
    • Microsoft Window Servers
    • Microsoft Windows 7, 10 and 11
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Veeam
    • HP Hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, and storage)
    • Palo-Alto solutions
    • (Azure) Active Directory
    • Exchange (on-line)
    • Cisco switches and wireless controllers ( CCNA preferable )
    • Cisco VoIP
    • Apple and Android devices (tablets and mobile phones)
    • Microsoft Powershell
    • Bilingual/Spanish is a plus
