Quality Control Technician

 Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the QC Technician will be a key member of the Operations team for our Puratos USA flagship location in Pennsauken, NJ.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Regular Quality control checks of the metal detector and production lines
  • Daily inspections of finished goods and production floor
  • Data verification of internal entries for raw materials and finished goods information
  • Raw Material verification by inspecting incoming and outgoing trailers and product
  • Ensure compliance with our receiving and shipping requirements.
  • Microbiology sampling: Ram material samples are taken per the raw material testing schedule. Environmental swabs are followed based upon the environmental program schedule.
  • Sensory testing and pulling sampling for sensory testing. The QC Technician is responsible for preparing the samples for tasting.
  • Verify, create and maintain COAs for all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the office, inventory and laboratory areas
  • Ensure that GMP’s are implemented and followedEnsure that all employees understand/follow GMP’s, food defense, allergen awareness, sanitation rules, and other production/quality procedures
  • Quality reports/inspections based on GMP, Food safety, and Food defense

 

Profile:

 

  • 1+ year of relevant quality control experience  
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment. Bakery experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally within the sciences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
