    1. Process Expertise
      • Develops a functional knowledge of all plant processes and equipment
      • Become proficient in Simatic Batch and have an excellent understanding of Siemens PCS7 for troubleshooting
      • Create new R&D documents to better translate data to Simatic batch
      • Work closely with R&D on new product launches and validations
      • Develops process improvement recommendations and implement approved ideas to optimize overall batch processing time
      • Develops ideas into business cases and projects


    1. Evaluate processes to find inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives
      • Become proficient in and ultimately lead kaizen events for the plant
      • Analyze major downtime events on production lines and make recommendations on process, maintenance, or personnel improvements
      • Assess repetitive maintenance failures and make recommendations on equipment changes or modifications to eliminate downtown
      • Work with Operations management to execute their improvement projects
      • Process- define transfer rates to packaging, tune PID controllers to improve stability
      • Packaging- Establish appropriate packaging parameters for all lines and work with operations on training of these lines
      • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all lines and using OEE data complete a gap analysis where lines are under-performing


    1. Improve operator training program
      • Work with cross functional team to establish a well-defined training program for operators with schedules and ongoing knowledge exams
      • Work with cross functional team to establish refresher training for qualified operators
      • Review existing procedures and create new procedures as needed
      • Be the primary support of the Control Room Techs and conduct monthly training with each tech to ensure knowledge is shared across all shifts.


    1. Assisting in large scale projects and lead smaller improvement projects
      • Support engineering staff as needed in plant continuous improvement projects included but not limited to:
        • Preservative free
        • Continuous mode
        • Validation of CIP system
        • Facility capital improvements


    1. Share best practices across Puratos
      • Visit other Puratos plants to share knowledge and best practices
      • Actively engage with Group engineering
      • Support new Puratos sites as requested





Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Technical Field
  • 0-4 years’ experience in technical roles
  • Experience with Lean process methodology preferred
  • Experience with GMP manufacturing processes preferred
  • CIP system knowledge preferred
