Position Overview:
The Operational Excellence Leader will lead, oversee, and maintain Operational Excellence for Puratos USA.. They will help build internal capability and provide coaching to local teams to improve Manufacturing performance (Health & Safety, Quality, Service and OEE/Efficiency/Cost) through sustainable Operational Excellence means implementation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement the processes & systems (based on Global OpEx Standards) to measure, monitor and benchmark the current Manufacturing performance and to identify the most impactful improvement opportunities
- Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for OpEx rollout in collaboration with Operations Leadership Team
- Work cross functionally to establish and administer Project Management strategies, practices, processes, methodologies, and metrics
- Develop and implement visual management systems
- Define and implement process improvement plans through the most effective standard method (DMAIC, Kaizen events, etc.)
- Help define Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each process step; Lead a culture of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing
- Identify training gaps across the Operational functional teams. Help develop and implement training materials to support process improvement projects and build internal capabilities
- Lead and manage cost savings and cost optimization projects for U.S. Operations including automation opportunities
- Collaborates with OpEx project sponsors to define projects, identify expected outcomes, and establish project schedules
- Monitors project performance - including timeliness, quality standards, adherence to design specifications, and implementation effectiveness. Reports status to stakeholders
- Coach to establish & sustain the Production Management System (PMS), standards & routines.
- Participate in Community of Practice (CoP) calls and share best-practices with other coaches in other departments and Puratos plants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience with management background required
- PMP/PMO Certification
- Green Belt/Black Belt Certification
- Strong analytical, influencing, problem solving and organization skills
- Ability to lead change management
- Demonstrate program ownership and deliver continuous improvement
