Maintenance Planner

Position Overview

Develop a maintenance work order backlog that is “Ready to Execute” by utilizing existing standards to plan sequenced tasks, estimate the time required for craftsmen to complete those tasks in the field, specifying the appropriate parts, materials and services needed to complete the tasks and integrating with other functions to assure alignment with business priorities and schedules. Create maintenance weekly schedules that are fully manpower resourced and parts and services feasible. Integrate with production and supply chain functions to ensure alignment with business priorities.

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance work orders by a combination of field work and utilization of existing task lists

• Work with part’s coordinator to ensure parts for critical equipment are attached to functional locations/equipment as part of BOMs

• Adjust work order plans by incorporating feedback from mechanics in the field

• Build standard task lists for repetitive jobs

• Execute weekly scheduling process by developing resource and materials feasible schedules based on inputs from stakeholders

• Review work orders to determine if work order is acceptable

• Perform field planning

• Identify job steps & sequences

• Acts as the focal point for Material/Tool/Equipment issues during execution for jobs planned

• Responsible for updating Task lists in SAP

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) plans for existing and new equipment. Followup on the execution of the PM plan and make corrections to the PM plan as needed. Review and update on a regularly basis the PM plan.

Education Requirements

Min/Preferred Education Level

  • Minimum High School or GED

Prior Knowledge/Experience

      • Strong mechanical aptitude is required

      • High degree of proficiency with SAP Plant Maintenance Module

      • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
