Technical Advisor
(Nairobi, Kenya)
Your Mission
As part of our growing R&D team, you will play a key role in inspiring our customers across Kenya & East Africa. Reporting to the R&D Director, you will provide high‑end technical expertise, create outstanding finished goods, and support customers with state‑of‑the‑art bakery & patisserie solutions based on Puratos’ focus product range. You will work closely with Sales team and R&D teams to maintain existing business and develop new opportunities through exceptional technical service, demonstrations, and innovative product concepts.
What you will do
- Inspire and support our customers by delivering technical demonstrations, trainings, workshops, events, and providing hands‑on support.
- Develop innovative finished goods and concepts by tracking global and local trends, creating recipes, and tailoring product solutions for customer visits.
- Support business development through promotion of Puratos focus products, strengthening existing partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to marketing activities.
- Collaborate with R&D, Sales and Marketing on new product development by providing technical insights, performing product tests, participating in launches, and preparing materials such as photos, videos and concept presentations.
- Maintain a professional Innovation Center environment and build networks, ensuring operational readiness, and developing strong connections with customers.
- Create pastry recipes in order to develop recipe databank.
- Support all regions in Kenya for the required works.
What we expect from you
- 5+ years production experience in food and bakery/patisserie sector
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Excellent people management skills to interact with customers, cross-functional teams and third parties
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Mobility required: regular travel within the country
- Able to evolve in an international organization
- Strong, self-starter, and team player
- Mastery of computer and tablet tools
- Patisserie‑related certificates are a plus.
