Production Manager

The production manager is responsible for the whole production process in the department where vegetable creams are produced. The production manager leads the production to obtain an optimal customer satisfaction and a minimum of production costs. He/she is also responsible for the implementation of the safety and environment policy.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • You approve the weekly planning of production and employees.
  • You collect, interpret and report data: control the expenses of the production department, analyze the production output, report the results on a regular basis (weekly/monthly operations meetings),…
  • You are responsible for ensuring optimal service levels to other Puratos factories and direct customers.
  • You follow-up on technical issues.
  • You implement GMP, HACCP/TACCP/VACCP, BRC and 5S.
  • You set up budgets and targets for the production line.
  • You are a people manager who coaches and trains his/her employees and create a “great place to work”
  • You take the lead and the organization of 5 shifts (3 week shifts and 2 weekend-shift)
  • You communicate with other departments (R&D, Quality, engineering): keep contact with the sales team and the R&D department concerning development of new products and introduce new products and production techniques in collaboration with R&D and Engineering.
  • You get the possibility to work on optimalisations and improvements of the current situations/machines.
  • You are responsible to ensure a safe environment in coordination with the safety manager.
  • You are part of the site management team.

 

 

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a degree in Industrial engineer Chemistry/biochemistry or food sciences or an equivalent experience. You have a minimum of 5 years production experience preferably in the food industry.
  • You have experience with KPI’s, efficiency measurement and a complex production process.
  • You have experience with Ms Office, MES, SAP.
  • You have strong people management and communication skills.
  • You are decisive and stress resistant.
  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch and English.
