Quality Control Technician

KEY TASKS

 

  • Q.C. checks of the metal detector and production lines every 2 hours.
  • Daily inspections of finished goods, production floor
  • Data verification of internal entries for raw materials and finished goods information.
  • Raw Material verification by inspecting incoming and outgoing trailers and product to ensure there are no damages and is compliance with our receiving and shipping requirements.
  • Microbiology sampling. Quality Control Technician takes 2 samples of each batch to submit to the external laboratory. Ram material samples are taken per the raw material testing schedule. Environmental swabs are followed based upon the environmental program schedule.
  • Sensory testing. Quality Control technicians pull one sample for sensory testing. The person is responsible for preparing the samples for tasting the night prior.
  • COA’s- Quality Control Technicians are responsible to verify, create and maintain COAs for all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods.
  • Misc. (Cleaning, inventory, etc, as assigned by Direct Supervisor)

 

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Monitor quality is part of the daily work of all employees at Puratos Chocolate USA (PCU)
  • Ensure that PCU produces and delivers Safe Quality Products
  • Ensure that GMP’s are implemented and followed
  • Ensure that all employees understand/follow GMP’s, food defense, allergen awareness, sanitation rules, and other production/quality procedures
  • Monitor the allergen control in the work place
  • Ensure that Production paperwork is properly documented on the production floor 
  • Test that Critical Control Point (Metal Detector) is properly performed 
  • Verify and inspect all incoming raw materials
