Position Overview

Based in Jakarta reporting directly to the Country General Manager, we are currently looking for our National Marketing Manager for Puratos Indonesia.

National Marketing Manager

(Jakarta, Indonesia)

As a member of Country Management Team, the successful candidate for this key function will lead the entire marketing team and its activities in the Indonesia subsidiary.

He/She will play a pivotal role in accelerating the company's growth and achieve the budget turnover through establishing and executing marketing programs, which directly contribute to sales, brand recognition and customer satisfaction. He/she will contribute in developing Puratos Indonesia as the Reliable Partner in Innovation in the Bakery, Patisserie and Chocolate market.


Key Accountabilities

  • Assist to develop an annual business plan and contribute to achieve targets with relevant Product Mix;
  • Plan and execute an annual marketing plan tailored to each customer category: industrial, wholesalers, retailers and artisan end-users with customer satisfaction;
  • According to the priority of focus products, plan and execute relevant promotional campaigns;
  • Analyze and strategize new product development, launch and customer marketing;
  • Analyze channel performance and develop relevant campaigns to drive sales;
  • Track products and channel performance and develop campaigns where required to drive sales;
  • Develop and execute a cost-effective annual communications plan including public relations (bakers association, trade schools, trade magazines, etc.) and advertising;
  • Develop internal and external communication tools like collateral, visual and written materials, newsletters, new releases, etc.;
  • Manage and ensure marketing budget expenses are under control;
  • Develop platforms to generate sales lead;
  • Co-ordinate with Sales, Innovation Center (Technical Advisors’ team), Product Development and Customer Service to achieve overall company goals;
  • Develop and coach team members;
  • Maintain thorough understanding of the customers’ end user markets, their important customers, and their main competitors;
  • Obtain customer feedback with regard to products, sales and services to enhance products and service offerings. Address customers’ concern proactively;
  • Gather market information regarding market trends, competitive activity and requirements for the development of new and existing products;
  • Demonstrate and live up the Puratos Magic culture within the company;
  • Comply with group Code of Conduct.



  • Experience in product portfolio management and brand building and knowledgeable in execution of events;
  • Graduate in Marketing, with at least 8-10 years’ experience in marketing food or food ingredients in business to business or consumer markets;
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Good Communicator and team player.
  • The candidate shall be creative, energetic and accurate with strong curiosity;

  • The candidate shall have strong business acumen;

  • Strategic-oriented: Capacity to participate to the elaboration of the local Marketing strategy of the subsidiary;
  • Support to the commercial activities of the Global Markets/Subsidiary;
  • The candidate shall be an expertise in marketing techniques B to C and B to B & ability to work with outside Marketing Service companies. He or she shall be knowledgeable in market insights process till developing an action plan;
  • The candidate shall have technical product and range knowledge, and understand functionality of the ingredients;
  • Operations: Knowledge of production, distribution, purchasing, costing, R&D, Q&A and food safety;
  • Finance: Analysis of accounts, budget process, reporting procedures;
  • Experience in working in a Matrix Organization;
  • The candidate shall be a natural charismatic leader with a collaborative and team-oriented style. He or she should be able to educate, motivate and inspire others in the organization and ensure a team cohesiveness resulting in great teamwork;
  • The candidate shall have strong computer skills in various software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others with the ability to quickly grasp new software programs.
