Maintenance Manager
Are you a passionate leader with an eye for optimizing processes and driving excellence? At our Groot-Bijgaarden site, we’re looking for a Maintenance Manager to inspire our team, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to our continuous improvement journey.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure the availability and operational safety of all facilities and utilities at the Groot-Bijgaarden site. Lead and inspire the Maintenance Team to design and implement efficient processes, reduce production costs, and achieve continuous improvement towards Operational Excellence (in SHE, Quality, Service, Cost and People).
Key Responsibilities:
- People Management:
- Select, recruit, and retain team members.
- Coach and develop your direct reports and employees to maximize their potential.
- Create a positive working environment and ensure continuous training.
- Maintenance Management:
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and international food safety standards (E.g. HACCP, PRP, BRC, FDA, Halal, Kosher, allergens...).
- Optimize maintenance processes to improve asset efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage maintenance budgets (including outsourced activities) and SAP systems.
- Align maintenance with production and asset strategies, logistics plannings and production planning ad the internal and external quality & safety regulations.
- Monitoring the facilities and staff on the shop floor together with the maintenance manager technicians.
- Ensuring the availability of all necessary spare parts in the most economical way (insource, outsource, mix).
- Managing the automation architecture of the whole production site, with the support of the beOps Automation Support Manager.
- Oversee utilities and HVAC installations (waste water treatment, thermal oil, NH3 and steam, compressed dry air, well & city water and electricity supplies,…), ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Monitor energy and water consumption, implementing reduction initiatives.
- Collaboration:
- You have an active role within the beOps Asset Care Platform, regrouping all Maintenance Managers
- You will work closely with Production Managers, Supply Planning, Quality Assurance, HSE, and HR.
- Engage with certification bodies and equipment suppliers.
Who are we looking for?
As a Maintenance Engineer, you
- hold a Technical master’s degree or you have a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
- bring at least 7 years of maintenance experience in a production environment, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
- are fluent in English, Dutch and French.
- are proficient in SAP/Maximo, Excel, RCM, Lean Maintenance, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- excel under pressure, demonstrate result-oriented leadership, and maintain a strong customer-focused approach.
