Maintenance Manager


As Maintenance Manager you are responsible for our maintenance department and will be responsible for guaranteeing the required availability of production assets and equipment. 


Key responsibilities


  • Maintenance Management
    • As Technical Manager you organise the maintenance department in the most effective and efficient manner and optimize the maintenance set-up with respect to the production and asset strategy, production and logistics planning
    • You drive the urgent interventions down by installing the right preventive and predictive maintenance activities and controls
    • You balance effectiveness and efficiency of the maintenance needs, in regards to both quantity and quality
    • You are responsible for the life cycle, asset & risk management of all utilities & facilities related equipment
    • You create long term asset plans for all equipment
    • You ensure the compliance of his/her department to all applicable legal regulations and international food safety standards

  •  People Management (team of 30-35 people):
    • You coach your team to enable them to fulfil their role to their maximum potential
    • You improve and enhance the knowledge, skills and competency levels in your department
    • You create a good working environment and recruit and retain team members 
    • You make sure your team follows the safety rules


Who are we looking for?


  • You have a technical master degree or equivalence by experience;
  • You have at least 7 years of experience as Maintenance Manager in an Industrial environment;
  • You have excellent people management skills and experience with coaching and upskilling your teams;
  • You have a broad Technical background of main industrial technologies (production, process, utilities and packaging) and areas (mechanical, electrical, automation, thermodynamics, hydraulic,…)
  • You are stress resistant, result-driven and service minded
  • You are excellent in building relationships within and without the company
  • You are analytical and a team player
  • You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and/or French and willing to learn the other language. Good communication skills in English is needed.
