Key Accountabilities

 

Your mission is to identify and further develop our consumer knowledge and insights and translate them into worldwide actionable recommendations that help to grow our business and the businesses of our customers.

Being part of the Marketing Intelligence department of the Puratos headquarters, you provide research services and work in narrow collaboration with our different SBU’s bread/pastry, patisserie and chocolate located in Belgium and different Puratos subsidiaries around the world.

  • Consumer sensory research:
    • You are the first point of contact for all Puratos Consumer Sensory research in terms of research design: choice of methodology, sample design, questionnaire and best practices for analyses, reporting and benchmarking.
    • In collaboration with Puratos sales staff, you are the point of contact for Puratos customers who conduct a local or international consumer sensory research. You recommend the research design and negotiate the pricing conditions in collaboration with Puratos sales ensuring a win-win situation. Moreover, you collaborate with Puratos expert sensory panel team to ensure a consistent approach.
  • Consumer trends & innovation research: You conduct, in collaboration with external partners, continuous and ad hoc research: choice of supplier, setting up the research design in terms of sample & methodology, questionnaire, analyzing the results, conducting and presenting reports on product innovations and renovations, launches, trends, attitudes and perceptions, local taste preferences,…in cooperation with the Business Units and worldwide subsidiaries

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Bachelor or Master degree in marketing, economics, statistics or related field
  • A first experience of min 5 years in research, ideally in a market research, marketing or communication environment
  • Experience in sensory analysis, with knowledge of sensory software (Eyequestion) and SPSS is definitely a plus
  • Hands-on and problem solving mentality
  • Analytical skills with ability to combine consumer insights with business knowledge and communicate in a clear, precise and actionable manner
  • Strong organisation & coordination skills
  • Good communication skills & fluent in three languages (English, Dutch and French)
  • A driven team player that can also work independently
  • Specific for the function: availability on weekends and official holidays is required during the Sensobus missions (stand-by in case of issues and support is needed)
