II .- MISSION

Collaborate with ICT Infrastructure specialists as well as the local and regional ICT teams to ensure group standards are implemented and maintained while ensuring the highest levels of business continuity, security and productivity for the approximately 200 sites in 54 countries of the Puratos Group.

The Specialist systems team is also third level of support for all the Systems related problems.

 

III.- KEY TASKS

The key tasks of the ICT Infrastructure specialist centre around the operational support of windows servers and related technologies and proactive monitoring of systems. This will be done together with the different senior ICT Infrastructure specialists responsible for the specific technologies.

 

Physical installations: aka “racking and stacking”, installation, initial configuration and troubleshooting of new equipment, maintain the computer rooms.

 

Support: Offer operational support on servers for all Puratos entities connected to the Puratos WAN either directly or by assisting the local IT support staff. The ICT Infrastructure specialist will be the first point of contact for local IT resources in branch offices for server related support.

 

Monitoring: Follow up and maintain the various monitoring systems used for servers

 

Documentation: Interpret and maintain technical documentation

 

The ICT Infrastructure Specialist is expected to be able to lead projects within HQ and on remote sites, coordinating with other members of the Infrastructure team as well as members of other HQ IT teams and local IT. These projects can last from 2-3 weeks to several months.

 

At other times the ICT Infrastructure Specialist is expected to participate in projects lead by colleagues from the Infrastructure team or other IT teams. The ICT Infrastructure Specialist is expected to manage his own time and balance own projects with colleagues projects as well as on-going support and maintenance and is responsible for ensuring that tasks critical to the business are given the necessary priority.

 

Additionally the ICT Infrastructure Specialist will be part of a 24/7 standby team for critical incidents approximately once every 8 weeks.

  • Technically knowledgeable and constantly keeping abreast of market evolutions

    • Windows Systems (2012 and above)
    • Group Policies
    • DNS – DHCP
    • Backup systems ( Veeam)
    • VMware setup.
    • HP hardware ( Server – blade )
    • Server patching
    • Active Directory
    • Windows 10, 11
    • Basic network knowledge
  • Bonus knowledge:
    • HCI - HP SimpliVity solution
    • OFFICE 365
    • Azure fundamentals
    • Azure Virtual Desktop / VDI
    • WSUS - Intune autopilot
    • SCCM
    • Storage (Nimble, HP MSA)
    • Datacentre & computer rooms (cabling ,cooling, power requirements etc.)
    • Server monitoring
    • PowerShell scripting
  • Stress resistant and independent
  • Able to communicate with colleagues
  • English speaking with Dutch and/or French considered an advantage
  • Understand the needs of the business and willing to go the extra mile when required
  • Prepared to travel for short periods (1 to 2 weeks) at most 3 or 4 times per year
  • An interest and willingness to remain up-to-date on the latest related technologies
