Business Control Manager BeLux



Being part of the Puratos Belux Management Team, the mission of the Business Control & Sales Operations Manager is to ensure the company’s financial performance and long term sustainable growth. To do so, he/she will coordinate all financial aspects of the business including business control, pricing and credit control and will work in close collaboration with other shared departments at Group level such as accounting, legal and tax.


The Business Control & Sales Operations Manager will also help to increase the performance of the sales teams through business intelligence (data collection, analysis, systems and target setting) and the implementation of sales processes . He/she will also guide the entire organization through the digital transformation and coordinate all aspects of online sales.




  • Business Control
    • You develop financial organizational strategies by compiling financial and accounting information, (trend) analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establish functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
    • You organize and manage data to ensure reliable and punctual administration and reporting, both for internal use and for the Group.
    • You partner and challenge internal stakeholders to improve internal procedures  to guarantee the safeguarding and optimal use of the assets of the company. This includes strict debtor, inventory & cash management, control of fixed assets, investment analysis in accordance with the principles of the Group, strict expenditure control, etc.
    • Together with the General Manager you analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the company. You support the decision-making process with relevant data.
    • You drive the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, coordinate with various stakeholders, consolidate and analyze, prepare management reports and presentations.


  • Sales Operations
    • Together with the General Manager and the Sales managers, you define the price & margin policy of the company and you implement it.
    • You lead the sales operations process including the following aspects :
      • Customer mapping and classification
      • Lead for sales processes including CRM adoption and development
      • Drive, adapt, implement, test and measure international and country specific initiatives and projects. (ex : impact of promotion, online A/B testing,…)
      • Manage Tool administration and monitor adoption and support team with trainings
      • Lead for (Sales) Business Intelligence
      • Develop new KPI’s, dashboards and reports for the business development teams that generate insights to improve their efficiency and effectiveness (align where needed with group reporting and use existing best practices)
    • You lead all the digital transformation of the business:
      • Training and change management of digital tools to enable adoption and usage by the business development teams
      • Stay up to date with all (digital) evolutions
      • Initiate and implement specific AI projects, optimize internal processes.
      • Coordinate and develop all e-commerce related initiatives in close collaboration with sales team, marketing teams and supply chain team.


  • People Management
    • You lead the Business Control Team. You inspire and develop talents, identify team strengths & opportunities. You act as role model to encourage team and stakeholders to embrace change and cross-train staff in all vital functions to ensure continuity




Management Team colleagues, Group and regional Business control teams, Supply Chain, Accounting department, Legal and tax departments, IT, Marketing team, Sales teams


Customers when applicable





  •   Academic degree : Master
  •   Experience (years & type of experience) : 5 years in similar function with Finance experience and both commercial feeling and digital savviness. 
  •    Languages:         Fluent in English and French and/or Dutch,  
  • ICT: SAP, Microsoft Office (excellent Excel skills), BI
