Position Overview

In order to further strengthen our Sales team in Germany we are currently looking for a:

 

National Key Account Manager

(Home office / Remote)  

 

The main responsibility of National Key Account Manager is to develop our customer database of our Industry customers. The target will be to manage and achieve short and long-term, profitable growth within our Industry line of business.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Responsible for implementing the national sales strategy to ensure future achievements of industry sales objectives

  • Define & implement activity plans with customers to execute strategy in coordination with team  

 

Manage the relationship with the Industry’s organization

  • Map the customer’s organization
  • Set up the Puratos’ customer team  and organize the meetings with the customer’s DMU (at multiple levels in some cases)

 

Customer Intelligence

  • Map & build the customer profile and keep it up to date
  • Maintain all relevant information up to date in the Account Fact File – including the history and confirmations of the Terms and Conditions

 

Key Account Planning & Execution

  • Develop, formulate and implement a Key Account plan for the  accounts managed
  • Align the Key Account Plan & objectives with the international business development teams in case of global/regional accounts.
  • Organize a central customer project list ( SANCOC, CRM) and keep this up to date.
  • Manage all related activities and projects e.g. product development, category management -  together with the business development team ( R&D, tech support, marketing, finance,…)
  • Participate in international meetings and communications e.g. via the Channel Portal with Puratos teams to exchange Best Practices and  improve our overall performance with this customer

 

Business Management

  • Follow up  & report on the customer’s KPI’s : sales results, service level, quality, profitability, budgets. Clarify deviations and initiate corrective actions where necessary
  • Report progress on the account plan on monthly basis to local and international stakeholders

 

Required Competencies

  • Business & result driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills: establishes contacts with ease
  • Good sales and negotiation skills
  • Team player
  • Proven track record in growing sales with Key Customers
  • Category management or customer marketing experience is a plus
  • At ease with use of Digital Tools (CRM, Pitcher, BI)
  • Strong knowledge in the field of bakery is mandatory (preferably a baker or food technician)
