Position Overview

Based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, we are currently seeking a:

 

QA/QC Manager

(Dammam)

 

Establish, manage and maintain a structured Quality system in accordance with the objectives and standards of BanoPuratos. Manage quality control functions, ensuring that quality control standards are met, constantly reviewed and improved. Ensures the company’s compliance to all regulatory, statutory and customer requirements.

 

 

Key Tasks

 

  • Being the QA/QC reference person for BanoPuratos
  • Building & leading the HACCP team
  • Preparing the relevant certification for our business and represent BanoPuratos during quality audit or customer audit.
  • Fine-tuning the Quality Control inspection plan and handling the quality complaint investigation
  • Defining the annual supplier audit planning
  • Coaching the QA/QC assistant for the QC routine check and the QA tasks
  • Implement Puratos quality policy and standards. Use BanoPuratos program criteria as guideline for quality and food safety management.
  • Verify and validate implementation of quality and food safety manual.
  • Manage Technical Data Sheets.
  • Manage Customer Questionaires and quality or food safety related questions.
  • Train local staff on quality -related topics, procedures and capabilities.
  • Manage complaints and corrective actions. Verify and validate implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Audit company processes and help implement improvement plan.
  • Monitor supplier performance and quality / food safety performance. Audit supplier if needed.
  • Implement local certification programs and ensure compliance to local regulatory audits.
  • Be aware of local legislation with respect to quality and food safety and take initiatives accordingly.
  • Daily management of quality team.
  • Develop expertise in TQM.
  • Develop knowledge of product composition and ingredients.
  • Identification of opportunities and threats.
  • Manage technical data sheets of raw materials and purchased goods.
  • Execute administrative activities with respect to test results and other Quality control related activities.
  • Analyse and report product / process trends.
  • Manage lab assets and implement good laboratory practices.
  • Develop dynamic sampling plans in collaboration with R&D and Quality Control.
  • Monitor and improve Quality Control department effectivity and efficiency.
  • Issue certificate of conformity and certificate of analysis if required by customer or authorities.
  • Daily management of quality control team.

 

 

Competencies

  • Master in Food Technology, with strong interest for and/or experience in quality assurance, quality and processing technologies.
  • online processing experience, raw materials, packaging materials, formulation
  • Any expertise on following category is valuable: Process Improvement, LEAN, Food Quality Standards
  • minimum 6 - 8 years of experience in similar job in Food Industry
  • working in a cross-functional team with R&D, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Engineering
  • English mandatory, Arabic is an added value
